WHAT I'M ALL ABOUT

My name is Jessie Ortiz, and I’m 17 years old. Read on for fun facts about me.

Things I love: art, music, and my friends. As tacky as it sounds, it’s true. A passion flared in me since third grade. Thanks to drama and Mrs. Silverstein, I began to learn videography and photography. Later on, I began to experiment with graphic design. Moving on to music; I’ve been learning music since the third grade. I’m currently learning guitar and hope to pick up the bass and drums in the near future. My goal with music is to eventually play with people for people. Last, but certainly not least, I put my close friends above all. When it comes to friends, I’m willing to give an arm and a leg for them.

Some might look down on me for what I’m about to say, but I plan on pursuing the non traditional path. I will go into real estate to learn the industry before investing in properties and start a Social Media Marketing Agency because the skills from that can be applied anywhere. In other words, I don’t plan on going to college. Regardless, I initially planned on going in to the arts, and art school is expensive. There are multiple courses on the web that are cheaper. There are free alternatives of education on the web, especially for things such as graphic design, photography, and videography. Although, I am not going to college, that doesn’t mean I will stop learning. I started reading business and self improvement books. I will be learning from mentors and online resources. My education will continue; however, it won’t be through the traditional path of going into classrooms.
